Louis Daguerre 1787-1851
The first Daguerreotype was taken by Louis Daguerre using the world's first camera. He was born in France and he spent the majority of his his life there. He was the person who presented the camera to the public. The reason why I chose this person is because he was the one of the first person to present a way to create a picture without using paint or other drawing tools and with great accuracy compared to the painted pictures of people. Without this person photography would not be a thing. He inspires me because not of the photos he takes, but because he invented a way to create pictures with a working camera.
This photo that I edited is meant to be reminiscent of those photos, without the sitting for hours for the camera to work. There is no smiling in a Daguerreotype photo because it is hard to hold a face for hours waiting for a photo to come out. I lowered the temperature and decreased the color to have a black and white effect.
